I finished this series just in time for the Stone School Boutique in Portage-du-Fort. They are smaller paintings, 8x10, that I hope will suit the tourists that may stop by.
During a trip to Nova Scotia, Canada, I took a picture of this while at Peggy's Cove. When I returned home, I decided to paint it in watercolour. Was a great trip!
The Homestead is the second in my new series. It is painted in acrylic on an 8x10 gallery canvas. If you would like one done of your home, please send an email.
Thank you to those of you who have visited my blog. A field of flowers for you!
I've been busy taking pictures for a client and finishing my second painting in the whimsical series. I've also been hand painting some bookmarks in water colour. Some pictures will be posted soon.
I had the pleasure of meeting Marcio Melo yesterday as he opened up his home for the annual Pontiac Artists' Studio Tour. After sipping some punch and chatting with him about painting, we toured around his beautiful garden. One can't help but be inspired visiting his home on the lake. Breathtaking.
While I work on my next painting, I thought I would share with you this portrait I did of John Lennon. It's 16x16 and done in acrylic on gallery canvas.
I finished my first landscape painting today. I enjoyed it however, my first love is painting people. I feel creative today so I'm about to start another. There's no better feeling than the feeling of creating.
I've just had my first gallery showing at the Stone School Gallery in Portage-du-Fort. I decided, knowing it would be quite different from many others, to show my series on the suppressed. I included four acrylic paintings I completed this winter.
